T-Mobile’s newest lobbying firm will set its focus on New York’s congressional delegation when advocating for the company’s telecoms interests, a new filing shows, Politico’s Steven Overly reported.
The exact issues Davidoff Hutcher & Citron will lobby on were not disclosed in the filing. Representatives from T-Mobile and Davidoff Hutcher & Citron did not immediately respond to a request for comment. T-Mobile is aggressively pursuing an acquisition of fellow wireless provider Sprint, a US$26 billion deal that has attracted scrutiny from some antitrust enforcers. New York Attorney General Barbara Underwood is investigating whether the merger will negatively impact prepaid phone users, Politico reported.
