Jones Day has added co-chair of Vinson & Elkins’ antitrust practice James Reeder Jr. as a partner in its business and tort litigation practice in Houston.
Reeder has worked with clients across several sectors including the chemical, commercial aviation, health care, energy, and entertainment industries and has tried numerous cases involving claims of group boycott, exclusive dealing, monopolization, price-fixing and conspiracy.
“Jim comes to Jones Day with a broad range of experience that will immediately benefit our Houston litigation and health care practice, and enable the firm to expand our relationships with companies in the region,” said Matt Kairis, partner-in-charge of the Jones Day’s Texas region in a statement.
Reeder first joined Vinson & Elkins three decades ago. Over the years he’s worked on several high-profile matters including a successful representation of Heartbrand Beef a producer of Akaushi Beef, against claims of monopolization and conspiracy to restrain trade in the US premium beef market.
