The Federal Trade Commission is ramping up its scrutiny of non-compete agreements as it plans to study how such restrictive contracts inhibit job mobility.
The commission will hold a workshop to evaluate how non-competes limit both workers’ job prospects and functioning labor markets, FTC Commissioner Noah Phillips told Bloomberg Law in an interview.
