Robins Kaplan announced that Tai S. Milder, a decorated trial attorney with the US Department of Justice Antitrust Division, has joined the firm’s Antitrust and Trade Regulation group. He will work out of Robins Kaplan’s Silicon Valley office.
“Tai brings nearly a decade of experience in bringing federal criminal prosecutions, civil enforcement actions in high-stakes antitrust cases, and trial experience—experience that will greatly benefit our clients,” said Hollis Salzman, co-chair of Robins Kaplan’s Antitrust and Trade Regulation group in New York. “He is a tremendous addition to our growing West Coast presence, and to the firm as a whole.”
During eight years of service with the Department of Justice in San Francisco, Milder was twice given the Antitrust Division’s Award of Distinction. In 2014, he earned the acclaim for securing convictions in a multi-week trial over bid-rigging in real estate foreclosure auctions—one example of his extensive work investigating and prosecuting Sherman Act violations.
He also worked on numerous negotiations and civil enforcement actions under the Clayton Act and the Hart-Scott-Rodino Act in cutting-edge matters that involved innovative verticals and acquisitions by private equity firms and hedge funds with complex holdings.
