US: Cartel pro leaves DOJ to join Winston & Strawn

Eric Meiring has stepped down as the Assistant Chief for the Criminal II Section at the Department of Justice’s Antitrust Division and has become a partner at Winston & Strawn in Washington, D.C.

Mr. Meiring has investigated and prosecuted numerous multinational corporations and executives for participating in criminal antitrust conspiracies. Mr. Meiring has also investigated and successfully prosecuted corporations and individuals for participating in fraud schemes, obstruction of justice, making false statements, and theft.

Mr. Meiring has received prestigious honors for meritorious service, including the Attorney General’s Award for Distinguished Service (the second highest award for employee performance) and multiple Assistant Attorney General Awards of Distinction. Mr. Meiring joined the Justice Department via the Attorney General’s Honors Program.
