Britain’s competition watchdog has launched a review of Hasbro’s proposed US$4 billion deal to buy Peppa Pig owner Entertainment One, it announced on Thursday, November 21.
The US toymaker, however, stated it still expects to close the deal no later than the first quarter of 2020.
The UK’s Competition and Markets Authority (CMA) had earlier stated it will consider whether the deal could hurt competition and invited comments on the acquisition.
