Mexican Antitrust Head Palacios Announces That She Will Depart Cofece Next Month

Alejandra Palacios announced this Thursday that she will leave the presidency of Cofece on September 9 and that on the same day she will advance her departure as commissioner of the body, despite the fact that she could continue in office until February 2022.

Through a message on Twitter, Palacios explained that her term in the presidency of Cofece ends on September 9 next and that, despite this, she could continue as a commissioner in the body at least until February of next year.

In addition to this, Palacios affirmed that, if the Senate does not designate the next head of the regulatory body, the one who will assume as interim president will be Commissioner Brenda Gisela Hernández Ramírez, who is the member with the longest service.
