Italy’s communications regulator Agcom has signed an agreement on closer cooperation with the competition regulator Agcom to combat unfair commercial practices. This builds on an existing agreement, also including other regulators in sectors such as financial services and energy, to cooperate on enforcing the Consumer Code.
The new agreement outlines ways for enhanced cooperation between Agcom and Agcom in the communications sector, including coordinating investigations, sharing information on suspected violations and case progress, and setting up a permanent working group to address areas of common interest.
