A team of four advisors specializing in crisis and regulatory risk management and cybersecurity is transferring from Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati to Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer, according to the new firm’s announcement on Tuesday.
Freshfields, a London-based company, has established a new strategic risk and crisis management practice that will be headed by Beth George, a former U.S. Department of Defense official.
George and cybersecurity partner Megan Kayo have joined Freshfields in Silicon Valley, which was opened by the firm in July 2020, reported Reuters.

The firm recently welcomed Janet Kim and Andrew Dockham to their Washington, D.C. office. They specialize in providing counsel for congressional investigations, regulatory enforcement defense, and internal corporate investigations.
“What we’re seeing among our clients is an increasing concern about global regulatory impacts,” including from EU and global data breach concerns and the global geopolitical climate, George said.
The group was drawn to Freshfields’ global reach and increasing presence and dedication in the United States, due to their work with technology clients.
