Paolo Ramezzana is a Senior Vice President in Compass Lexecon’s Milan office.
Paolo has almost 20 years of experience applying economic analysis to competition matters in consulting, government and academia. Most recently, he spent six years at the U.S. Federal Trade Commission where he worked as an Economist and then advisor to the Director of the Bureau of Economics. At the FTC, he provided economic analysis and high-level briefings on a variety of cases, including the agency’s review of the Mylan/Pfizer generic pharmaceutical merger and high-profile investigations of potential anticompetitive conduct in technology and digital markets. Before joining the FTC, Paolo had been a Senior Vice President at Compass Lexecon and a Principal at Bates White, both in Washington, DC, as well as a consultant in London. After spending a significant part of his career in Washington, DC, Paolo has recently returned to work in Europe.
