Paul, Weiss, Rifkind, Wharton & Garrison announces the arrival of Eyitayo St. Matthew-Daniel as a litigation partner in New York. Known as “Tee,” Ms. St. Matthew-Daniel was previously Assistant Chief of the Justice Dept.’s Antitrust Division in New York. She also served as assistant Attorney General and as a trial attorney with the Antitrust Division.
Joining as federal, state and international regulators are closely examining every proposed corporate combination, Ms. St. Matthew-Daniel will focus on criminal investigations, merger/non-merger civil matters and antitrust actions taken by the DOJ, FTC and European Commission.

Her experience on antitrust matters is vast, including previous private practice. Some of the major cases she supervised are described below, including negotiating a deferred prosecution in one of the few criminal antitrust actions the Justice Dept. ever brought against a healthcare provider, leading to a $100 million penalty. In private practice, she’s advised clients in energy, tech and media, manufacturing and transportation.
Ms. St. Matthew-Daniel currently serves as co-chair of the Cartel and Criminal Practice Committee of the New York State Bar Association’s Antitrust Section.
