DuckDuckGo’s Policy Manager To Replace Key House Antitrust Staffer

DuckDuckGo’s Katie McInnis will be the new chief counsel for Democrats on the House Judiciary Committee panel that oversees antitrust, she told Bloomberg Government.

McInnis’ presence on Capitol Hill signals Democrats will continue fighting for antitrust legislation, though they now face a much tougher battle in the minority. Administrative State, Regulatory Reform, and Antitrust Subcommittee ranking member David Cicilline (D-R.I.) is likely to face resistance from his Republican counterpart, Thomas Massie (R-Ky.), full committee chair Jim Jordan (R-Ohio), and House Speaker Kevin McCarthy (R-Calif.).
