Cruz Verdo and SalcoBrand get maximum fine of $19M for price-fixing drugs

The Tribunal de Defense de la Libre Competencia has fined pharmacy chains Cruz Verdo and SalcoBrand $19 million for collusion and price-fixing in 2007. The decision comes at the conclusion of a three-year trial, during which a third chain, Farmacia Ahumada had settled in 2009 with a $1 million fine.
