Vishal Mehta is a partner in Morrison Foerster’s Global Antitrust Law Practice Group who advises clients on all aspects of antitrust law with a focus on mergers and acquisitions, counseling, and compliance. He has extensive experience representing clients before the Federal Trade Commission (FTC), the Department of Justice (DOJ), and foreign competition authorities in all phases of merger review. He has defended clients in high-profile merger investigations across a range of industries, including technology, media, telecommunications, cannabis, energy, oilfield services, specialty chemicals, life sciences, agriculture, heavy equipment, consumer products, and retail, among others. Vishal has experience at the intersection of antitrust and technology markets, and counsels many of the largest technology companies in the world on competition issues relating to digital platforms.
In addition to his robust mergers and counseling practice, Vishal has represented companies in antitrust and other complex litigation involving claims of price-fixing, hub-and-spoke conspiracy, monopolization, breach of contract, and patent infringement. He has also defended clients in non-merger government investigations at the state, federal, and international level.
