Urska Petrovcic is Director of Economic Strategy at Qualcomm and a Senior Fellow at the Hudson Institute.
Petrovcic completed her Ph.D. at the European University Institute, where she compared the approaches that the antitrust authorities in the United States and in the European Union adopted towards the use of standard essential patents.
Petrovcic was a visiting scholar at the University of California, Berkeley (USA) and at the University of Oslo (Norway). She was also the inaugural scholar of the American Bar Association’s International in-Residence Program. She previously worked at the law firm Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom LLP and at the Directorate General for Competition at the European Commission. Petrovcic has published several articles on the intersection of antitrust and intellectual property in academic and business journals, and has presented on that topic at numerous international conferences.
