Toshiaki Takigawa is Professor, teaching Competition Law as well as International Trade Law at Faculty of Law, Kansai University (Osaka, Japan). He has published articles on comparative analyses of Japanese, U.S. and EU competition laws, and their relations with intellectual property rights. He, before entering academic career, had worked for Fair Trade Commission of Japan, as well as for Japanese Delegation to Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) at Paris. He holds Master of Business Administration (MBA) from University of California at Berkeley, as well as LLB/Law from Kyoto University (Japan). He was a Fulbright grantee scholar at George Washington University Law School (2009-2010), and was a visiting scholar at University of California Berkeley School of Law (2012-2013).
