Simeon Thornton is currently a Director at the UK’s Competition and Markets Authority where he is responsible for leading high-profile market studies and market investigations. He is presently leading the CMA’s market study into online platforms and digital advertising. He was previously Chief Economist to the Department of Energy and Climate Change and also worked for the OFT. From 1998 to 2004, he worked in the private sector as a senior consultant with NERA Economic Consulting.
