Robert Welker is an associate professor who teaches courses in business law at the Lynn Pippenger School of Accountancy and has been a full-time member of USF's faculty since 1966. He is admitted by examination to practice law in Florida.
His research has been published in the American Business Law Journal numerous times and he has written chapters for textbooks and review course materials. His main research interest is collective bargaining in the public sector. He is a member of the Temple Terrace Bar Association, the Florida Bar Association, the Indiana Bar Association, the Hillsborough County Bar Association, the American Business Law Association and Tampa Bay Estate Planning Council. At USF, he serves on departmental committees and has a leadership role within the USF Chapter of the United Faculty of Florida in which he currently serves as the union's chief negotiator and senator for that organization.
Welker earned a Juris Doctorate from Indiana University, an MBA from USF and a bachelor's degree in political science from Earlham College.
