Antitrust and White-Collar defense lawyer Robert E. Connolly has joined GeyerGorey LLP as a partner in the Washington, D.C. office, the firm announced today. From 1980 through early 2013, he was a prosecutor with the Middle Atlantic Field Office of the U.S. Department of Justice, Antitrust Division, the last 19 years serving as Chief. More recently, he was with DLA Piper in Philadelphia.
In his new position, Connolly will lead GeyerGory’s corporate internal investigations practice, will become involved in complex litigation, and will be part of the compliance team, which helps companies identify, address, and mitigate litigation risks from the onset and develop an organizational culture that encourages ethical conduct and a commitment to comply with the law.
In his career with the Antitrust Division, Connolly led major national and international white-collar crime investigations in the areas of antitrust, fraud, and obstruction of justice. He is known for innovative investigative and trial strategy and a command presence in the courtroom, the firm said. He has a reputation for building and leading teams with an extraordinary commitment to successfully completing the mission.
