Pierre-André Buigues is Professor at Toulouse Business School and a consultant. He worked for 20 years at the European Commission as an economic adviser.
As a consultant, he was responsible for writing reports on industrial policy for the European Commission, on competition policy for the United Nations, and on public support to SMEs for the French Treasury. He was co-founder of the "Economic Advisory Group for Competition Policy" at the European Commission.
Pierre-André Buigues has written 10 books and over 50 scholarly articles. Out of his last two books, the first deals with internationalization strategies for European companies (co-author Denis Lacoste) published in April 2011 and the other addresses France's industrial decline (co-author Elie Cohen) appeared in 2014.
