Dr. Paul Godek is a Managing Director at Secretariat Economists in its Washington, DC office. He has more than 30 years of experience in litigation consulting – in the areas of antitrust, class certification, commercial damages, and securities fraud. The publication Who’s Who Legal, Consulting Experts has listed Dr. Godek among “Leaders in the Field” in the category of Competition Economists.
Dr. Godek served at both of the federal antitrust agencies. He was the Economic Advisor to the Director of the Bureau of Competition at the Federal Trade Commission. Prior to that, he was a staff economist with the Antitrust Division of the Department of Justice. After his government experience, Dr. Godek joined Secretariat Economists. He has also been affiliated with Compass Lexecon and MiCRA: Microeconomic Consulting and Research Associates.
Dr. Godek has made a number of written and oral presentations to the antitrust authorities and to various other federal agencies, including the Department of Commerce, the Federal Communications Commission, the Internal Revenue Service, the International Trade Commission, and the Securities and Exchange Commission. Dr. Godek has testified as an expert witness on behalf of the Department of Justice and in private litigation. He has also been retained as a consulting expert by the Federal Trade Commission.
