Panos Constantinides is Professor of Digital Innovation and Digital Learning Lead for Executive Education at Alliance Manchester Business School. Previously, he held positions at the Warwick Business School (WBS), Lancaster University's Management School (LUMS), and the Judge Business School at the University of Cambridge, where he earned his PhD. He is also a Fellow of the Cambridge Digital Innovation Centre.
His research focuses on the transformative potential of digital technology, including digital platforms, infrastructures and artificial intelligence. His research has been published in journals such as Information Systems Research, MIS Quarterly, the Journal of Business Venturing and Organisation Studies, among others. His research has also appeared in Thinkers50, MIT Sloan Management Review, The Conversation, Raconteur, ZDnet and other media outlets.
Panos currently serves as a Senior Editor at MIS Quarterly and Senior Editor at Information & Organization. He is also currently a Senior Editor of the special issue on Digital Resilience at MIS Quarterly, which explores the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic on business and social organizations, as well as individuals. He has previously served as Senior Editor for the ISR Special Issue on Platforms and Infrastructures in the Digital Age, which examined the digital transformation of platform ecosystems across various sectors.
Panos regularly engages in executive and professional events on the transformative potential of digital technology. He has previously led the launch of an Artificial Intelligence Innovation Network (AIIN), based at WBS, but spanning departments across the University of Warwick, including Computer Science and the Medical School. He has also co-organized a number of Digital Health Forum events, which aimed at facilitating knowledge exchange between senior practitioners and policy leaders embedded in the digital innovation ecosystem, including entrepreneurs, venture capitalists, angel investors and academics. In addition to these outreach and engagement activities, Panos is a regular contributor to Executive Education courses with an emphasis on topics related to digital leadership and transformation.
He has received research, editorial and teaching awards, including the British Academy Rising Star Award for research contributions in digital infrastructures and platforms, the MISQ Outstanding Associate Editor award, and multiple awards for teaching at the MSc, MBA, and Executive Education programs.
