Martin Peitz is Professor of Economics at the University of Mannheim and a director of the Mannheim Centre for Competition and Innovation—MaCCI. He is a research fellow of CERRE, CEPR, and CESifo and a research associate of ZEW. He is author of the leading graduate textbook Industrial Organization: Markets and Strategies and of the forthcoming book The Economics of Platforms: Concepts and Strategy, both coauthored with Paul Belleflamme and published by Cambridge University Press. Martin has widely published in leading economics journals and regularly advises competition authorities, sector regulators, and government agencies in Europe and abroad.
