Mark is a partner in Simmons + Simmons competition group, based in London.
He is an expert in all aspects of competition law in relation to the regimes of the United Kingdom, Europe and many jurisdictions in Asia - in particular, Greater China, Hong Kong and Singapore.
In addition to over 20 years’ experience working in private practice, Mark has an in-depth knowledge of regulatory policy from his previous roles at the UK Competition Appeal Tribunal and the European Commission Directorate-General for Competition.
Mark has acted on numerous major multi-jurisdictional mergers, and advises on behavioural and regulatory issues, and represents clients before the UK, European and Asian authorities in relation to investigations including cartel and abuse of dominance.
He has particular experience in the tech, energy and pharmaceuticals sectors.
Mark is frequently published in academic and business journals, and has written three books on cartels and horizontal co-operation agreements.
