Mr. Jiang specialized in the corporate law, including M&A, and compliance issues (especially from perspective of Anti-Monopoly Law). He has advised dozens of international and domestic clients in diverse industries including chemical; telecommunications; beverages; food; software and finical service industries.
Mr. Jiang also possessed strong expertise in the area of international trade. During his post in MOFCOM, as one of the first legal officials who are in charge of the trade disputes after China’s entry into WTO, Mr. Jiang attended almost all trade dispute negotiation and settlement procedure. For example, he has attended dispute settlement of “China-US dispute concerning enterprises income tax subsidies; China-EU dispute concerning importation of automobile assembly; and China-US steel safeguard measure. He is the official who led the legal group in the negotiation of China-Gulf Cooperation Council free trade agreement, and negotiation in the Dispute Settlement Understanding of Doha Round.
Before joining Gaopeng, Mr. Jiang previously worked as a legal official in Treaty and Law Department of Ministry of Commerce, PRC, a diplomat of China’s Mission to World Trade Organization (WTO) in Geneva, and a lawyer in King and Wood.
