Kiran S. Desai is a Partner at HVG Belgie, a law firm which is part of EY’s law network. Previously, he was a partner in the Brussels office of Mayer Brown’s Antitrust & Competition practice.
He has extensive experience in the areas of national and international competition law, as well as a broad experience in EU constitutional and administrative law, EU regulatory law, EU trade law and EU policy. Kiran’s work involves counselling, transactional matters and litigation before national and the EU courts. He has a particular interest in the developing competition law regime in India, having spoken on competition law in India on several occasions. In recent years his work has focused on competition and regulatory laws as they relate to network industries, local markets and government investigations. He has a strong interest in the interplay between competition law and economics.
Kiran is a long standing promoter of compliance programmes within corporations; he writes and speaks on the subject, and is an advocate for the use of technology and educational software to communicate compliance within a company.
