Dr. Justus Baron is a Senior Research Associate at the Searle Center on Law, Regulation, and Economic Growth at Northwestern University’s Pritzker School of Law. His area of expertise is the empirical economic analysis of technological innovation and markets for technologies. His main research interests are technology standards, patents, and licensing schemes.
Dr. Baron holds a PhD in Economics from Mines Paris Tech and a Master’s degree in Economic Governance from Sciences Po Paris. His work has been published or is under revision in peer-reviewed academic journals, and he has presented his research findings at a large number of academic conferences. He also has experience with policy-oriented data analysis, e.g. for the European Commission, and teaching economics in undergraduate and graduate programme.
