Justine Reisler
Justine is an associate in the firm’s Antitrust/Competition & Marketing Group. Justine provides advice and representation to clients in relation to merger notification and merger review, helping clients clear transactions through the Canadian Competition Bureau.
Justine provides strategic advice to clients in respect of criminal and civil investigations, including allegations of conspiracy and abuse of dominance, as well as other reviewable practices and compliance matters. In relation to foreign investment, Justine advises foreign-controlled enterprises on the application of the "Investment Canada Act" (including its national security provisions) when establishing a new business or acquiring an existing business in Canada, and assists clients in clearing transactions through the relevant agencies. In relation to marketing, Justine advises clients on advertising in any form, including packaging, labeling, telemarketing, gift cards, contests and electronic communications.
Justine completed an LLM in Canadian Common Law at the University of British Columbia after completing her LLB from City, University of London in the United Kingdom where she was the recipient of the Allen & Overy Prize for International Economic Law. Prior to law school, Justine obtained her Honours Bachelor of Arts degree from St. Michael’s College at the University of Toronto where she completed a double major in International Relations and Political Science with a Minor in European Union Studies. Justine summered and articled at the Firm.
