Jing He, a specialised legal practitioner with more than 20 years’ experience in handling complex China litigation, intellectual property, antitrust, policy advocacy and compliance matters. He started his legal career as a US patent attorney and spent about nine years in a major international law firm before starting his private practice in China. A number of his cases were listed as top IP cases by Chinese judiciary authorities. Major industrial associations often consult with Mr He on China legal and policy matters.
Mr He is passionate about making policy changes and contributing to rule of law reforms in China. He was the key consultant conducting a US-China IP dialogue where top US and China experts convene and deliver roadmap documents for China IP reforms. He also leads the policy programmes as the executive director of Beijing Zhongguancun Intellectual Property Strategy Research Institute.
Mr He was selected as a Recommended Intellectual Property Lawyer by Chambers Asia-Pacific guide and Managing Intellectual Property. Other industrial awards he has received include WTR’s World’s Leading Trademark Professionals, Legal 500’s Recommended Intellectual Property Lawyer and Lexology’s Client Choice Award.
Mr He is admitted to the State Bar of California and China. He graduated from the University of Notre Dame with his JD in 2000 and obtained his LLB and BSc from Peking University in 1997.
