Frédéric Palomino is a Senior Vice President at Compass Lexecon based in Paris. Frédéric has advised clients on a wide variety of competition policy issues, covering sectors as diverse as energy, agri-food, transports (rail and road), telecommunication, financial services, daily newspaper, travel agencies. Frédéric has advised clients in merger or antitrust cases at the European Commission level and at the level of the French competition authorities, as well as other jurisdictions. Frédéric has also acted as an economic expert in damage evaluation for litigation cases involving either shareholder disputes, breach of contracts, or follow-on claims. He has been featured in Who’s Who Legal’s Competition Economists analysis.
Frédéric worked from 2006 to 2009 as a Case Handler at the Conseil de la concurrence and Autorité de la concurrence where he was mainly involved in telecom cases. He also worked on the CCIP/Unibail merger.
Frédéric earned a Ph.D. in Economics at the European University Institute in 1994. He then joined Tilburg University where he was an Assistant Professor and then an Associate professor of Finance and Economics. In September 2003, he joined HEC Paris as an Associate Professor of Finance.
