Emilio Calvano (PhD Toulouse) is Associate Professor of Economics at the University of Bologna, Associate Faculty at the Toulouse School of Economics and CEPR fellow. He has published in top Economics journals in the field of microeconomic theory and business strategy such as the American Economic Journal: Micro, the Economic Journal, Management Science and the Journal of Economics and Management Strategy. He has been doing research on the Industrial Organisation of digital and media markets with emphasis on platform competition. Recent papers look at the impact of Artificial Intelligence & Big Data on markets envisaging competition and consumer protection issues.
