Eduardo Pontual Ribeiro. PhD in Economics at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, USA; Associate Professor of Economics at the University of Rio de Janeiro (UFRJ), Brazil; and former Deputy Chief Economist at the Brazilian Antitrust Authority (CADE).
He holds a degree in Economic Sciences (Bachelor) from the Federal University of Pernambuco (1991), a Masters in Economics (Master of Arts) - University of Illinois (1993) and a PhD in Economics (Ph.D.) - University of Illinois (1996). He is currently a Full Professor at UFRJ-Instituto de Economia and served as a Counselor at the CADE Court (Administrative Council for Economic Defense) from August 2012 to August 2014. He was Adjunct Professor at UFRGS and Deputy Chief Economist and Chief Economist at the WHERE IS IT. He has experience in the field of Economics, with emphasis on Mathematical, Econometric and Statistical Methods and Models, working mainly on the following topics: Defense of Competition, Industrial Economics and Labor Market. Coordinator of the Research Group on Law, Economics and Competition.
