David Sonnenreich is the Director of the Antitrust Section of the Utah Attorney General’s Office. A graduate of the University of Utah, he has practiced law for over a third of a century in Utah. During that time he has worked in both government and private practice and has tried numerous antitrust, securities, and white-collar crime cases both from the perspective of a prosecutor/plaintiffs’ counsel and defense counsel. More recently, he has become involved with data privacy issues, overseeing enforcement of the Utah Protection of Personal Information Act and lecturing nationally on topics related to data privacy, including interpretations of state FOIA laws. As an active member of the National Association of Attorneys General’s Multistate Antitrust Task Force, he has participated in numerous antitrust enforcement cases and merger reviews
