David J. Shaw serves as Counsel to the Assistant Attorney General in the Antitrust Division of the United States Department of Justice. Among other things, David advises the Assistant Attorney General on matters in the Telecommunications and Broadband Section, as well as on policy related to merger review, enforcement, and remedies. David serves the Antitrust Division’s liaison with state attorneys general. David came to the Division in November 2016 as a trial attorney in the Technology and Financial Services Section where he worked on both the United States v. EnergySolutions and United States v. AT&T trial teams. Prior to joining the Division, David practiced at an international law firm based in Washington, D.C. David is a graduate of Georgetown University Law Center and Patrick Henry College.
