Blair West Kuykendall focuses her practice on antitrust matters, specifically mergers, and acquisitions. She guides industry leading corporations through investigations led by the U.S. Department of Justice, U.S. Federal Trade Commission, Senate, and House Judiciary Committees, state attorneys general, and international competition authorities. Ms. Kuykendall was part of the litigation team that represented PeroxyChem in obtaining approval of its $640 million mergers with Evonik following a 2-week trial in D.C. federal court, ending the FTC's 5-trial win streak in D.C. federal court, and allowing the deal to close.
Ms. Kuykendall draws on her economics background to advocate on behalf of clients in significant transactions, including CVS Health/Aetna, Danone/WhiteWave and Ritchie Bros. Auctioneers/IronPlanet. Her previous experience includes serving as a legal intern for Commissioner Maureen K. Ohlhausen of the Federal Trade Commission, as well as in the Office of International Affairs of the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission.
Ms. Kuykendall is also a 2019 Young Lawyer Representative for the ABA Antitrust Section’s Corporate Counseling Committee.
