Alfonso Lamadrid is a senior associate at the EU and Competition Law Department of Garrigues (Brussels).
His practice covers issues related to cartel proceedings, anti-competitive agreements, abuse of dominance, merger control and State aid rules in a wide array of sectors. Alfonso has published extensively on international and EU competition law matters and is regularly invited to lecture and participate in conferences. He is a Visiting Professor at the Brussels School of Competition and the co-Director of the annual EU & Spanish Competition Law Course at the IEB (Madrid).
Education:
Law degree with a specialization in EU Law (First class honors) from San Pablo CEU University.
LL.M in European Legal Studies at the College of Europe (cum laude; scholarship from the Spanish Ministry of Foreign Affairs)
LL.M at Harvard Law School (scholarship from the Fundación Ramón Areces).
