The areas of research of Professor Gonzalez are industrial organization, competition policy and market regulation. He is director of the Diploma on Competition and Market Regulation at the University of Chile. He has been consultant of international institutions such as the World Bank and the Inter-American Development Bank the IDEI. Also he has served as senior advisor of the Ministry of Transport and Telecommunications in Chile and as a consultant of antitrust and regulatory agencies in Chile, participating as economic expert in leading cases involving mergers, exclusivity contracts, access to essential inputs, predatory prices, etc.
