US: Ohio AG says antitrust laws may not be enough

Ohio Attorney General Dave Yost, whose office is participating in dual investigations into Google and Facebook, said existing antitrust laws may not provide strong enough tools to restrain the power of big technology companies.

“What is the right way to regulate or limit, or separate the power that is being gathered?” Yost asked, speaking at Bloomberg’s Sooner Than You Think conference Wednesday, October 30, at the Weylin in Williamsburg, Brooklyn. “I’m not entirely sure that the antitrust jurisprudence we have is adequate.” reported Yahoo.
