White & Case has expanded its Global Intellectual Property Practice with the arrival of Michael J. Songer as a partner in Washington, DC.
“Mike is highly regarded for his extensive trade secret and patent experience,” said White & Case partner Dimitrios Drivas, who leads the Firm’s Global Intellectual Property Practice. “In 2018, we saw an increase in trade secret cases and we expect this type of litigation to increase in the future. Mike’s strong experience in this area will complement our existing expertise and strengthen the Firm’s position as a leading adviser in technology disputes.”
Mr. Songer’s practice includes representing US companies in high-stakes litigation related to complex trade secrets, US patents, licensing arrangements, and copyright law. He also advises on commercial disputes that involve significant or emerging technology issues, particularly issues involving the internet, social media, and the digital marketplace.
