Mexico’s Federal Economic Competition Commission (Cofece) reported this Wednesday that Commissioner Andrea Marván Saltiel will hold the presidency of the competition body for the next four years.
She has a law degree from the Universidad Iberoamericana and a master’s degree in the same subject from the University of Chicago. Saltiel’s career spans ten years of professional work at Cofece, where she has held various assignments.

Just last December Andrea Marván took office as commissioner for a period of nine years, after being ratified by the full Senate of the Republic.
“The commissioners and those of us who work at Cofece thank Commissioner Brenda Hernández for her work as substitute president due to vacancy in favor of this Commission and we wish Commissioner Andrea Marván success in her new assignment,” the agency said in a statement.
