Paul Weiss Adds Former DOJ Antitrust Litigation Pro

Joshua Soven has joined Paul, Weiss, Rifkind, Wharton & Garrison as a partner in its litigation department in Washington, DC, the law firm announced Tuesday.

Soven advises clients on antitrust matters, including investigations before the Justice Department and Federal Trade Commission. He secured antitrust clearance for Deutsche Telekom in connection with its subsidiary T-Mobile’s merger with Sprint, according to the firm.

Soven was head of the litigation section in the DOJ’s Antitrust Division from 2007 to 2012. He oversaw investigations and litigation in the health insurance, consumer products, packaging, beer and dairy sectors. 

Paul Weiss is among the world’s largest law firms by gross revenue, bringing in more than $1.5 billion in 2020, according to data compiled by the American Lawyer. It is also among the top legal dealmakers, advising on more than $287 billion worth of mergers and acquisitions last year.
