UK’s competition regulator has started investigating the proposed £936m deal between fashion businesses Yoox and Net-a-Porter. The Competition and Markets Authority said it would consider whether the deal lessens competition in the UK market.
The deal between Net-a-Porter owner Richemont and Italian listed Yoox was announced in March.
As part of the merger, it was proposed UK’s largest fashion retailer Net-a-Porter would join the Italian company and they would together be known as Yoox-Net-a-Porter.
