Scott + Scott opened their third European office in Berlin in November, reported juve.de.
Their new team includes Markus Hutschneider (47), who comes from the process department of Deutsche Bahn, and Dr. Michael Melber (47), currently a litigation partner at K&L Gates. In Germany, the law firm wants to focus primarily on disputes over cartel damages.
Scott + Scott has nine offices worldwide, six of them in the USA. A total of around 100 lawyers work for the firm. In the USA, the firm specializes in classic US class actions, often class actions with references to securities and cartels.
In Germany, the team around the two founding partners is expected to grow to around five lawyers over the next few months.
